Terms of Use

noBBCtube is a free, independent website operated by James Van Aalst. It offers recorded-video discovery, channel filtering and browser-local preferences using YouTube API Services. It is not endorsed by YouTube, Google or the BBC.

YouTube content and playback

By using the YouTube features here, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Videos, images and other content remain with their respective rights holders. Playback uses YouTube’s player, including its advertising, branding and links. Do not use this site to infringe rights, misuse the API or interfere with the player.

Filtering and availability

BBC exclusion uses known channel identities and matching channel metadata. Video titles, descriptions and tags are not used for BBC exclusion. We also check for live, upcoming and former live-stream metadata. These checks can miss content or exclude independent channels. They do not establish the ownership of a video or determine whether you need a TV Licence. You remain responsible for complying with applicable law.

YouTube controls video availability. Quotas, unavailable embeds, network failures and service changes can interrupt search and playback. noBBCtube does not promise uninterrupted access. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Voluntary support

Optional donations can be made through Buy Me a Coffee under that provider’s terms. They do not purchase YouTube content, remove YouTube advertisements or guarantee ongoing service. The site’s viewing features remain free.
